While I try to create pieces that are versatile for all life's activities and events, there are a few things to note:

1. Brass naturally tarnishes when exposed to air, water and body oils. Over time the metal part of your piece may darken in color as may the strings. This process will happen faster the more the piece is exposed to the elements.

2. The beads are woven with strong string, however it is still string and can break.

3. Due to their light-weight nature, it can be easy for hanging earrings to fall out with action.

4. In today's world there is a growing expectation for perfection and longevity. My work is made by me, a human, with subtle flaws and unique features. With natural wear, over time pieces will change. Nothing lasts forever (except maybe plastic which itself is a bummer).

5. Tips
   I wear several of my pieces on the daily, which means sometimes when hiking and rafting. I don't mind a bit of tarnish and choose simple pieces that won't get in my way. That said, I weigh the risks when choosing what to wear and invest more care with my higher value items. I recommend you:

• Store your items in a dry spot (not the counter in your humid bathroom).

• Keep them flat and away from other items to avoid snagging and altering the threading.

• Keep the rubber stopper on the back of hooked earrings to help prevent them from falling out.

• Treat special pieces like works of art and don't wear them for adventuring, unless you're ok with the risk.
