Ellison Bay Fall Art Crawl
October 22 & 23 from 10-5
Ellison Bay opens its doors and welcomes you to enjoy the fall colors. There are nine participants: Clay Bay Pottery, Linden Gallery, Cousin’s Walk, Savory Spoon Cooking School, Newport House, Gills Rock Stoneware, The Clearing Folk School, Ellison Bay Pottery & Turtle Ridge. Demonstrations, studio tours and refreshments are featured. Ellison Bay Arts invites you to share with us, the Art of Creating, Learning, Cooking and the Art of Living Well.
Turtle Ridge is hosting a hot glass bead making demonstration by Lesley Bruce Smith. Lesley makes beautiful glass beads and incorporates them with leather, fiber and metal into clustered “environment” jewelry pieces. Lesley and Mary Ellen collaborated on one of a kind pieces using glass “eyes” with carved and formed leather animal purses. This year the focus will be on masks and sculptural forms incorporating both media. Lesley’s demonstration will be from 12-4 on Sat. with her Trunk Show from 10-5. Sunday from 10-5 the public will enjoy the opportunity to make their own “Super 8″ bracelets out of pre-cut multi-colored pieces of leather. Staff will be on hand to assist and give tours of the workshop. Don’t miss this glass and leather event. Turtle Ridge is premiering 2 new vintage inspired bags, Simple and Simple Clutch in some exciting new color combination.
